George III Mahogany Tea Table Circa 1770

George III Mahogany tea table, the rectangular hinged fold-over top with rounded edge, of solid Mahogany single boards.

The frieze veneered in figured Mahogany, over square chamfered and molded legs, with one leg attached by knuckle joint to facilitate pulling outward to accept the fold-over leaf.  

When the swing leg is pulled from the case, dovetails are visible where the side and rear are joined.

Dimensions.  Height: 28 3/4".   Width of top: 31 3/4".   Depth of top: 15 1/4".
